Athabasca
A Collaboration Between Ambient Artists Dino Malito and Venedel
Athabasca (2025) blends lush sonic textures with emotional resonance to create a radiant, meditative journey. Venedel, known for her introspective instrumental soundscapes, joins forces with Dino—acclaimed for his long-standing work with Grammy and Golden Globe winner Kitaro and his role at Los Angeles–based Domo Records. Unfolding through gentle waves of synth, guitar, and piano, Athabasca carries the listener into a state of spacious calm. It begins with soft, atmospheric drones and gradually expands into a richly layered experience. From the first shimmering tones to the final whisper of guitar, the track offers a quiet, expansive space for reflection—imbued with warmth, clarity, and stillness.
Becoming (2025) is Venedel's first piano instrumental with an arpeggio, call and response arrangement. Her purpose is intentional and introspective: to honor the journey of discovering one's purpose and calling, to connect and awaken the hidden potential in us all.
Daybreak (2025) is an invitation to take in the first moments of stillness upon waking on a new day. Though the title Daybreak implies this track suitable for the morning, the music is a reminder to take a few deep breaths anytime of day to stay grounded and center oneself.
Twilight (2024) is an homage to the awe and serenity of the night sky, a reminder of the vastness of our ever expanding cosmos. An airy and breath-like soft synth pad opens the song then accompanied by a soft, gentle and sparse piano. The spaciousness of the music is intended to usher in the listener to a greater perspective of the universe we are all a part of.
